Kia ora and welcome to New Zealand and the South Island.

I’m Tanja, a photographer based in the heart of New Zealand’s South Island. I’m drawn to the places, people and fleeting moments that make us stop, feel something and remember. Through my lens, I capture the beauty, character and MaGik of Aotearoa, creating images that invite you to pause, wander and perhaps take a little piece of New Zealand home. These captures are my soul fillers, my energy topper uppers. I head out to learn new techniques as every genre in photography uses different techniques beyond the basics.

Living in the amazing Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve which is one of the largest Dark Sky Reserves in the Southern Hemisphere - 4, 367km2 and was created in 2012 allows me to enjoy this incredible night sky as well as drawing the amazing energy filling my soul and cup.
